New Year's Eve

Ok, so it has happened...we got old! We had dinner for our New Year's Eve celebration. Don't get me wrong, we were with great company and had a great time....just not our normal "act like your 21 all over again" New Year's Eve celebration. That being said, we went to Flemming's with Jamie, Chris, Wendy and Todd. After dinner the soon to be Felders and ourselves headed to Big Mike's restaurant to see Mike and Jocelyn who had to work for New Year's... The "soon to be Felders"Todd and WendyMe and AndyOur table...you would think at this point we were done with dinner by the looks of our table- not so fast my friend- took us THREE hours to get our food!! But it was New Year's right?!?! Well all the tables around us had come and gone twice before we ever got served!! It was crazy! Food was good though and the company was great! After our extended stay at Flemming's...we made it to Big Mike's with seven minutes to spare! We got home around 1 ish- brought the babysitter home (first time for Sarah to have a non-family babysitter) and were in bed by 2- Sarah didn't get the memo about New Year's Eve....she woke up at 7AM New Year's Day!!!

Oklahoma Christmas 2010...part 5 Headed home

Our ten our trip home ended up being 14 hours...but for a good reason! We got in the car to leave Andy's parents at 9am and he says to me "Do you want to go see your Grandaddy and Uncle?" I was shocked and very pleased at the offer- so we drove two hours east to Coalgate to the ranch for a quick visit.

Sarah got to open her Christmas from Uncle Eddie while we were there...Thank you Uncle Eddie..I love books!!Having a talk with Uncle Eddie...trying to reason with him about the purple and gold instead of the Oklahoma State orange and black- he didn't buy it!Sarah got to see real cows..instead of the cartoon ones on mommas iPhone!Yes, she got to get real close and personal...that is her trying to touch the cows tongue!! My uncles cows are like pets!My mom the farmer...this is her herd of black Angus that we were feeding. Notice the purple and gold tags...this way she knows which ones are hers! Love it!Man I wish I knew what she was thinking!"Mom it's cold and windy out here...enough already!"Four generations!

Uncles...

Sarah and Uncle Eddie...teeth still coming in!

After a good lunch and a two hour visit we headed home. We didn't get home Monday night until 11 pm!! But it was well worth it! So nine more hours and 4 stops we finally made it home...

Sarah fell asleep with her Christmas mouse from Grammy...again she was an awesome traveler! Around 9 o'clock that night she let out a scream...."UGGGHHH" - I just told her "Yep, we agree...it's time to get home!"

Oklahoma Christmas 2010...part 4 Syd and Sarah

Syndee and Sarah be came big buddies on this trip! Syd was ready to entertain Sarah and Sarah was ready to be entertained...so this post is dedicated to two cousins who have many, many more years of fun ahead of them! Looking forward to Annie getting in on this action!

Oklahoma Christmas 2010...part 3 The day after!

Sunday morning we got up and went to church. We let Sarah sit with us because we thought the nursery was closed...I was really nervous about this seeing as how she hasn't sat with us in church since she was 5 weeks old! She did great for about thirty minutes- she was cracking us up when she would start to dance during the hymnals and then clap when the song was over! Grammy brought her out in the lobby when she started to get a little restless and then found that the nursery was open, so she stayed there for the rest of the time. When we got home we had to take more pictures of course...
Sarah and Annie sporting their new hats from Katie...so stinkin' cute!!

Love this pic!...minus the pacifier! Andy and Mr. Dave went to play golf that afternoon at Oak Tree in OKC and then that evening, Andy and I were able to get in a visit with his college roommate Matt aka Gibby and his wife Melissa and their little man CadeThe last time Cade and Sarah saw each other was at the fourth of July party and now Cade is 1 year old! They had a good time with each other...always fun to see little people interact!

Oklahoma Christmas 2010...part 2 Christmas Day

Christmas morning...Sarah's first Santa visit!

She did walk with her new toy a little...
But mostly enjoyed the front of it with all of the toys.
Christmas morning pic!
Katie and Rob live right down the street...so after they got done with their Santa, they came over to open presents...Grammy and Poppa with the grand kids.
Kids and grand kids in front of the tree Christmas morning.
Present time! I think Sarah was getting the hang of the opening of the presents thing...but the paper always won her attention!
All of these are mine?!?!?! I promise she doesn't live all day with a pacifier in her mouth! But she is really fond of it right now with her teething issues.

Gabe is such an awesome kid! He made everyone Christmas ornaments this year as his present to us. Ours had LSU on one side and OU on the other...of course I am going to post the pic with the LSU side ;)And Katie wins the award for my favorite, favorite gift that Sarah received this year! It was a Golden Book made by the kids called "Cousins" (you can buy blank Golden Books and make your own stories...who knew?!)The book has pictures of Gabe, Sydnee and Annie and each cousin as their own pages that tells how old they are, what their favorite numbers and colors are and what they like to do. Katie got the kids to color the pages and Gabe even wrote his part of the book!! Needless to say I shed a few tears over this one!Well, we did it...made Grammy's house a mess! Now time to clean up and wash up! Christmas family picSarah playing with Aunt Katie and her spoon...Sarah with Grammy and Poppa...and her spoon! UGH the days of perfect pictures are long gone!We had a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Oklahoma Christmas 2010...part 1 Christmas Eve

Baby's first Christmas and new camera = 335 pictures to sort through! Thus the delay for the blog post! We had such an amazing time in OK with our family for Christmas...it was so fun to watch Sarah play with her cousins and see her with her Grammy and Poppa!

Sarah chilling with momma in the back seat...we only had to stop twice on the way up to Oklahoma- 10 hour drive two stops- four teeth coming in- Sarah was a rock star!
Christmas Eve:
All of the girls in their Grammy maded Christmas tree shirts! We figured out Sarah's "smile" as of lately...she is cutting all four of her top teeth!! All four kiddos: Gabe -7, Sydnee - 4, Sarah 9 months, Annie 4 months. Funniest part of the whole trip was trying to get all of them together for a pic...we tried a number of times- as you will see.Grammy and Poppa with the grandkids. Sarah and the "oh my teeth are really hurtin' momma" look!Daddy's girl!Sarah's stocking at Grammy's house.Grammy had the stockings stuffed for the kids, so they got to open them on Christmas Eve. Guess Andy figures there is no such thing as a great picture...so he just makes a face to add to the mayhem!Sarah getting ready to open her stocking...Yea! Bath time toys and disposable placemats! Ms. Peggy is a retired elementary music teacher and a great musician! So of course we had to sing some Christmas carols! This pic cracks me up - Gabe and Syd are all into it, Sarah is eating the shakers (that was her instrument- we all got instruments) and Andy looks like he can't hardly stand all the fun of his bell! My guess...there was football on the TV! Ha!Gabe teaching Sarah the tambourine! Then it was time to start tracking Santa! Gabe got on google and found a site that tracks Santa, so we knew right where he was...I think he was in Iceland when I took this picture!
