Faith in Action
Every "Fifth Sunday" our church encourages our Sunday School small groups to put our faith into action and get outside of the walls of the church. Today, our class helped serve the people who use the "It Takes A Village" organization that serves the homeless, addicted and lost people who live under or near the bridge on North Blvd.
We all brought our appropriately aged kiddos and I think it was a great reminder of them of how blessed we are and how Jesus wants us to love all of his children. Sarah completely enjoyed serving and was eager to help out where she could. Leah spent most of her time in the car, due to the crazy last minute cold front that came through overnight. Leah did however enjoy helping prepare the lunches and has asked a number of times since we served when can we do it again.
Proud of my church family and proud of my own family for stepping out of our comfort zone.

Grammy, Papa and Cousins
Grammy and Papa came in town to spend a couple of days with us for Sarah's birthday. And little did we know they were also bringing a pair of cousins as a surprise! They dropped Sydney and Annie off about a block from our house and when they showed up in our driveway, we had no idea they were down the street. We went about our usual greetings and unloading of luggage and just about the time we settled down to catch our breath from the excitement of grandparents in time, there was a knock on the door.
COUSINS!!! hahahaha! We laughed and were sooo excited to see Sydney and Annie. The rest of the night, the girls caught up with each other and the BEST AUNT EVER...that's me...let them make slime! Talk about happy girls!
