New Year's Eve

Well 2020, you out did yourself! A year of so many "historical" happenings and yet here we are at the end of the year. We made it.  Our motto has been and will continue to be to let faith, love and hope guide us in our daily paths.  The challenges of this year have made us stronger in our faith, relationships and in our appreciation for what matters most. Thanks for all the lessons you taught us 2020.

We can't wait to meet this blessing of 2020 in 2021!!

An empty Times Square on New Year's Eve....what is this crazy world!

One of the good things to come from the pandemic is that Gabe and Jv's school has started to stream their games online so we have been able to watch them play.

Another ride through Christmasville

Cuties...Leah and Lincoln.

The girls each received a game from their teachers for Christmas.

And this might be my favorite kid Christmas craft ever!! Oh Leah...never change!

HUGE day...we made it a full semester of school in a world where we didn't even think we would have  in person school.

We love this pup.

Dog park and sunshine.

Sweet sisters.

Thank you uncle Eddie for the shirts!

Mrs. Kirsty and Leah...all smiles at school.

BR General Lights

Leah went to spend the night with Ro and so Sarah was living the sweet life of an only child for the night. We went to dinner at one of our favorites, TJ Ribs and then went to see the light display at the Baton Rouge General.  This was a first for us and it was a great time.

Christmas Day

As a mom, I love the stillness and the slow pace we take on Christmas morning. Sleepy eyes discovering what Santa left for them. The slow pace and no rush needed of the whole thing. The late breakfast, the Disney Christmas parade on the TV and then begins the opening of the gifts out of the packages and the reading of instructions for construction of the new toy and finding the perfect place for the item in your room.
And then the best part of the day is reflecting on the gift of Jesus! How lucky are we to be so loved by our Heavenly Father that he sent His son to save us from ourselves so that we could spend our eternity with Him! Whew. I am so undeserving but so grateful! Happy Birthday Jesus!!

Christmas Eve

We started Christmas Eve at church for our candlelight service and observance of the Lord's Supper.  After church, we headed to Grandma's house to eat dinner and open presents.  We played so really fun games that Sarah had found for us. One included throwing candy canes on our antlers.  It was hilarious!! And so much fun.  The girls got an upside down game from Uncle Mike which provided a ton of laughs with the trick glasses you have to wear to complete the challenges.
We headed home and prepared for Santa and his reindeer after we finished up at Grandma's.  It was a great night.
