My friend Missy P (there's more than one Missy, so I must clarify;) had this great little people bounce house that she let us borrow for the party. The weather was gorgeous!
Sarah contemplating the jump house.
Kyleigh on the other hand, she was a pro! It helps that she has an older brother to teach her how it works. Abby and Sarah...not really feeling it!
Jackson and Cooper got some jumping time in once all of the babies got out of the way!
Jacob...OUT! (but with a smile!)
Sarah with Great Uncle Dave and favorite Louisiana cousins Emily and Evan!
Present time! Kyleigh showing Sarah how it's done!
Uncle Mike got us all choked up with this shadow box he made with a flag that he had flown over Iraq in Sarah's honor during his last tour this past winter. Sarah has so much to be proud of with her families willingness to serve our country!
What every girl needs...a bedazzled pink Disney princess hat!
Emma and Sydnee two peas in a pod!
YEA! ELMO!!!

I LOVE MY BIRTHDAY PARTY!!! (that's what she would have said...I just know it;)
And now for the cake!! Yep all done by momma! With lots of encouragement from Aunt Katie...I actually made the cake look like a "1"!!
Sarah very casually ate her cake. Tasted the icing first and then once she got the okay from mommy that she could eat the cake...she did just that! She'd break off a piece and put it to her mouth- it was almost like she was savoring every new flavor! She did seem a bit confused as to why everyone was watching her eat and no one else was eating...but she carried on anyway!

Happy Birthday baby girl!! We love you so very much and are so blessed to have you in our lives!

Grammy with her girls...Sydnee 4, Sarah 1 and Annie 7 months.
Friday was all about cakes and cupcakes...
Syd is a great egg cracker!
Sarah looking on with Aunt Katie.
Getting the cupcakes ready.

Sarah and Annie getting in on some playtime before bed.
As I mentioned earlier, Andy finally made it home and Sarah was SO happy to see her Daddy!!
We had Sarah open her presents from the Jacobsen's before the party started. Grammy made her a book "Sarah has a Pal" along with a song to go with it!! (she makes a song for all of the grand kids first birthdays- such a creative Grammy!!) Sarah was literally laughing at the book! She loved it!!

Jocelyn, Michelle and myself.
Andy, myself, Michelle and Ben...Getting ready to place our order for the best italian bread....EVER!
