NYE

Low key NYE with a few fireworks and family game night this year. We enjoyed our night. Heidi on the other hand spent her time barking at the fireworks from the comfort of the living room.

After Christmas Toys

Everyone is enjoying their new toys from Christmas.

Goodbye to First Baptist DS on River Road

The flood of 2016 engulfed our beloved church building and we were all pretty devastated as our town tried to build back from such a tragic event. Little did we know that God had big plans for His church at First Baptist. To trust God in such a trying time has been so humbling and has strengthen my faith tenfold! Our new church was built just a couple of miles down the road and this property was bought by FEMA and the City of DS. Not only has God provided us a place to grow and bring others to know him, He has allowed us to do it without any debt by having this land be purchased.

This building is where Andy and I were married. This building is where my children first went to church and started their walk in faith. I know, we know, that God and His mighty works are not contained to this building or any building, but it will always hold a place in our hearts. The plan moving forward for this property is a green space of some sort for the city.

Celebration in the Oaks

It's our second year to go to Celebration in the Oaks at New Orleans City Park. We had so much fun last year that we knew we wanted to go back again this year. And we once again had a great time! Here's the pro tip...go after Christmas! Less crowded and cheaper. Winning!

Well poop. We on the naughty list again ;)

Eeek. My favorite color combination.

Mr. Jingles!

Favorite picture of the night. Almost looks like it's snowing in south Louisiana.

Amelia Sleepover

We are going to see Christmas lights in New Orleans tomorrow so we figured tonight would be a great time for Amelia to spend the night with us and we can just bring her back when we head down there for the lights. Having a toddler around the house again is so fun...and tiring lol. You forget how busy they are. The girls all play so well together and Andy and I just love hearing all of the giggles and pitter patter of little feet around the house.

I started this little tradition with Amelia, the year she was born....Mardi Gras Pjs! It's no secret Mardi Gras is one of my favorite holidays and what better way to have an excuse to buy cute Mardi Gras Pjs?
