Goodbye Braces!!

Man....time flies!! I feel like we were just getting braces on Sarah's teeth and now, it's time to get them off. Her smile is just beautiful! And we can thank our friend Ms. Michelle enough for the magic she did on Sarah's teeth. 

 

Stingers Basketball - Mandeville

Stingers headed to Mandeville this weekend and again brought home some hardware. These girls are so fun to watch play and we really enjoy our time with the families of this team. Go Stingers!!

 

Sarah is 13!!

Not sure how it happened so fast, but we have a teenager! I remember early on in my motherhood that I felt like the days of having a teenager were so far away, there is no way I would ever make it out of the tiredness I felt when Sarah was an infant and into toddler years. 

To say we are proud of this kid would be an understatement. She has battled some crazy knee injuries this past year and so many frustrations with "why" but yet kept a an attitude that is to be commended. She continues to keep up with her school work while managing a crazy basketball schedule and she is well respected by her peers. I am hoping we can have a smooth-ish teenage era and I can't wait to see what is next for Sarah! Mommy and Daddy love you! Always!

 

Stingers Basketball - Gulfport

We spent Sarah's birthday weekend in Gulfport playing in a tournament that they had played in the previous year as well. It was nice going to a place we already had been too for familiarity. The girls played great and came away with some hardware too! These weekends are always so much fun. Sarah played a little but again, her knee was not loving it. 

Opening her present from Grammy...at trip to San Diego this summer! She was so excited!!

March Madness - Lady Tiger Basketball

LSU Lady Tigers hosted the first and second round of the NCAA basketball tournament this weekend. NCAA basketball is so much fun and the excitement of the games is on a whole different level. We were all able to go to the first game, but Sarah and I missed the second game for her basketball tournament in Mississippi. Emily and Donnie joined Leah and Andy for the second game and they all had a great time. Our seats were moved for the tournament and we ended up pretty close to the action. Leah was loving that we could actually hear Coach Mulkey coaching the girls. 

 

Stingers Basketball - Denham Springs

It's the start of a new Stingers basketball season and we are so hopeful Sarah will be able to get back in the game. She did play for a little today and it was so good to see her in action. She said mentally it was awesome, but physically it was very painful. We aren't sure her knee if ready for it just yet. Just going to keep working the physical therapy and learning all she can from the sidelines. She will do what she can ,but not push it too much. 

 

Sarah's 13th Birthday Party

I really can't believe Andy and I are going to have a teenager soon! Tonight we are having Sarah's birthday party which was a request of a crawfish boil and sleepover with friends. Andy loves to boil crawfish and we love to eat it, so it was the perfect party for our girl. 

 

NSE Literacy Night

Literacy Night at NSE is always a good time. This years theme was a worldly one and the kids had passports as they went to different countries around the world. We are so appreciative of the work all of the teachers put into this night.
