Parker McCollum Concert

Sarah's first country concert! Kyleigh invited Sarah and Juliana to join her for the Parker McCullum concert at the River Center in Baton Rouge. The first time for Sarah for anything is always a little rocky, but she powered through until the concert was over and ended up having a good time. 

 

Mardi Gras Break - JV @ Abilene Christian

Time to move on to the next game. It takes about 4.5 hours to get to Abilene from Edmond but it feels like thirty hours because there is nothing...and I mean nothing to look at on the drive out west. Abilene's campus is beautiful and we really enjoyed getting to see where JV goes to school. Moody Coliseum was a great venue...we particularly liked all of the purple ;) We got lucky and got to see extra basketball, as they went into overtime!! We ended the night with treating JV to a post game meal. 

 We will get up in the morning and head back home after a whirlwind of a trip and lots of miles put on our ole suburban, but man was it worth it!! It's always worth it to make the time for the ones you love. So thankful for this week long Mardi Gras break that allowed us to take the trip! 

Mardi Gras Break - Grammy's 75th Birthday

How lucky are we to be here for Grammy's 75th birthday!! The girls wanted to decorate the room for her for when she woke up on her birthday. We went to a local party story and bought some decorations and patiently waited for Grammy to go to bed so they could decorate. The girls had so much fun getting this set up for Grammy. And Grammy was so surprised the next morning. It was a lot of fun.  That evening, we went to Katie's for dinner and birthday cake. 

 

Mardi Gras Break - Uncle Eddie's House

Today we headed off the beaten path to see Uncle Eddie in his new place. He sold the ranch a year or so ago and moved to a little community named Scipio, Oklahoma. It is a bit smaller than the 580 acres he had previously...only about 40 acres now, but much more manageable for him. He has his dogs and a huge garage for his cars. It was nice to finally see where he is living now. We stayed for lunch and hung around for a few hours and then headed back to Edmond.

One of Eddie's dogs had puppies...Leah was in heaven.
