Basketball, basketball and more basketball! Sarah has been working really hard to get back on the court. She has done so much physical therapy that she now has an interest in becoming a PT when she gets older. In the midst of getting better, she has developed what we thought was a sports induced asthma. We are now seeing vocal cord specialist who believes it may be vocal cord dysfunction. She is a strong headed child and she is working through it all. She is so tough mentally, but injuries in sports are just tough. The fear of reinjury is so real and also so hard to overcome, especially in a sport with so much contact like basketball. In the waiting, Sarah has shown herself to be a true team player. She continually encourages her teammates. She shows up for practice even if she can't go 100%. She is soaking up the game learning so much about it. Sarah is the teammate everyone wants on their team. She is working on getting better each day. So every minute she gets playing time, we are thankful for the opportunity.
