Teamwork makes the dreamwork!

Uncle Jeff headed to Florida for Hurricane relief help...Buc'ees and then a breakdown. Sounds about right for the LA National Guard.

When the amazon deals are just too good you get them delivered in this giant tote! Who knew?

Heidi ready for her treat after her vet appointment.

New PJs for dress up day...same silly Leah!

Love to capture these sweet moments

Leah got to say the Pledge on the morning news!

Halloween

It was rainy, soggy Halloween in south Louisiana but it didn't stop us from making the most of it. We met up with Rosalie and her family and did our usual walk around the neighborhood. We got back home and Leah took one for the team and stayed out in the rain to hand out candy. She probably didn't have to sit completely in the rain, but we were trying to keep people from coming up the steps and falling. Our little Pocahontas really enjoyed handing

Halloween at with DSHS Math

I have been working on team building all year with our Math Department with the merge of our two campuses. Someone found a costume idea for us for Halloween, so I ran with it. Back at our September PD, we cut our "ax"es and painted them. We had fun and I think most are looking forward to dressing up together.

And here we are..."Number Jacks" with with our X and Y "axes" Don't yo just love it!

Livingston Ladies Basketball

Leah has been grinding at basketball every weekend and is showing so much growth in the game and her knowledge of how to play. She doesn't love waking up early on Saturdays, but that is really her only complaint. She is meeting new girls and making friends in the basketball world. It's been a great experience.

Poppin' for Jesus!

Our Sunday school class is a little extra when it comes to the church Fall Festival/Trunk or Treat. It comes from the many years of us winning the competition. Well. They ended making it a competition, but we secretly still compete and love putting our full effort into making the event fun for everyone. And we love getting our kids involved in the fun too!

This year our theme was "Jesus is Poppin'"

We got our inspiration from the Poppi soda. Our treats were all things that "pop": pop-its, ring pops, blow pops, tootsie roll pops. We had a blast!

The Dumestre's nailed the costume game this year! So stinking cute!!

The men of our class holding things down! ;)

Heidi's 5th Birthday!

Life with Heidi is the best. We sure do love our dog! Leah got her a "boo basket" for her birthday present. Heidi completely approved of the treats and her new "squirrel". Finally one she can catch!

Here's to many, many more birthdays sweet girl!

Pumpkins

Pumpkin painting went pretty much like I thought it would.  We get pumpkins. Everyone has a fantasy idea of what their pumpkin will look like. No one, except Leah likes the gooey insides of a pumpkin and then everyone (aka the kids) are mad at the result of their pumpkin doesn't look like what it did online and then everyone leaves mad and I am left to clean the mess. Every. Time. hahaha.

I liked my pumpkin, for the record. Nemo for the win!
