And another one!!!

Got home from the parade.  Cleaned up and lost another tooth.  You know what this means....BIG Teeth are coming!!! AHHHH!

Denham Springs Mardi Gras

We are riding again today with Big Mike for the Denham Springs Mardi Gras parade.  Always a fun time!!  The Denicola's had made plans with us a while back to ride as well.  With Colton's diagnosis, they obviously wouldn't be home to ride, but we told them that Pres and Ms. Diane could if they were still interested.  They took us up on the offer and had a blast.  Roxanne joked that her Canadian mother was getting to ride in a Mardi Gras parade before her!!  Nicole and Abby joined us for their first ride too.  We had a blast.

Loaded up and ready to roll.

Photo Drop Friday!

Bubble overflow! (I love Louisiana springy winters)

Le-le working on her bubble skills. ;)

Ummm had no idea my kid loved seafood gumbo so much!!  She couldn't stop at Don's Seafood the other night at dinner.

Still going.  Insisting on "more rice" "more umbo!"

HA! Sadly not everyone see's the humor in my notes.  Sarah told me today when she got home that my note did not make sense..."there are no such things as green people.  stop writing the notes." Umph.

100th Day of School

Seriously?!?! Can it already be the 100th day!?!?  I am SOOOO thankfull that Sarah's teacher along with the other kindergarten teachers decided against the dressing up as an 100 year old person.  Really...who has time for that!  They had a celebration during class and it was perfect!

Praying for Colton.

This week, we found out that our friends the Denicola's received some terrible news.  Their 3y/o son Colton has been diagnosed with A.L.L. Leukemia.   They found out on Wednesday and by Thursday, they were in Memphis, TN at St. Jude's.  Our hearts are broken for our friends!! Presley and Sarah started our friendships with the Denicola's when they were babies at preschool and now Colton and Leah are friends at school with the two and three year old classes often doing activities together.  Today we had Presley over for a play date so that her grandmother, Diane, could have a chance to catch her breath and give Presely some time to just keep busy with fun.  Ms. Diane flew in from Canada on Wednesday to take care of Presley while Roxanne, D'Wayne and Colton were in Memphis.  It's been a whirlwind of a few days for this precious family!!

So glad we got to see that sweet smile today!

Lunch and laughter...good for the soul.

BR Zoo

Just gonna start this off by saying, this was the BEST BR zoo trip in a long time.  The beautiful weather had the animals very active and happy to have a break from the cold of winter (I mean, I'm guessing this, they didn't actually tell me this).  Missy and Emma joined us and all of the kids were happy and got along great.  Did I mention how awesome the animals were?? It's like they put on a show for us!
Funny story here.  The Zoo had volunteers out on the main entrance doing animal encounters for the guests.  This little iguana guy was nice.  The black milk snake we saw first....ummm, have you ever seen a snake have a bowel movement???? Yeah us either, until today.  The poor girl holding the snake wasn't sure what to do as the snake released himself right there in front of all of us.  Luckily, it did not get on the volunteer or on any of us.  The event left a big impression on Leah...she's still talking about the snake that pooped!

Can't go to the zoo without this picture finding it's way on your camera roll.  Leah...yeah, not so sure about the box. Or maybe it's the crazies that are in the box that are the problem.

This bird (top, to the right, white chest) was "talking" with Emma and Sarah!  They would whistle and the bird would whistle right back. Fun stuff.

And this guy  showed us how to fish!!!  In his beak is a little fish that he caught from the pond.  We watched as he scoped the fish out and then went in for the catch.

The otters put on a great show for us.

Air boat!

Giraffe Selfie.

Peace out zoo!  you are great today!!

But before we leave....a train ride and a selfie.
