Softball, family day and crawfish!

All kind of things going on today!  It's one of those busy spring weekends that we are thankful only come every so often.

We started the morning off at Sarah's softball game.  Her little team has made such huge improvements in just a few short weeks.  Sarah is loving softball and today she got to play third where she had some great plays with her teammate Faith.  I keep commenting on how well she is doing with the game and everyone just keeps being impressed with the fact that she's even out there playing! Touche' my friends!
Leah has made a friend at the ballpark.  "Doodlebug" which is what she is referred to by all is the younger sister of teammate Vincent.  These two girls have a great time together at practices and games.

Go Blue Lightning!

Sarah loved having Grandma there today to cheer her on!

After softball we headed straight to Andy's Community Coffee Family Day at the Celtic Center.  We were only able to stay for about an hour before it was over due to our late arrival, but we made the best of it!

Hmmm...where's Leah.  Oh yeah, this is when she starts her epic meltdown and doesn't stop until we make it home.  Yeah, that was fun.  Poor kiddo..was tired, hungry and just over it!
We got home in time for the girls to rest for just a bit before we headed down the street to the Denicola's for a crawfish boil.  I have no pics from this gathering, but it did happen promise.  Leah's earlier meltdown wore me down and well, I just didn't have the energy to take pictures.   We ended up having a great time and Leah put on a happy face and played great with everyone.  We left their house around 9ish and Leah got still and ....
She made it until about 10.  Then she was done!

Sarah's AR Field Trip

With Spring Break behind us...the countdown to the end of school is on!!  Today Sarah was invited to attend the AR(accelerated reader) field trip.  Students are required to read books through out the year and obtain a certain amount of points through an online test, each nine weeks.  If students surpass that goal and reach the yearly goal set by the library for each grade, then the library rewards them with an end of the year field trip.

Sarah met the goal for first grade readers and this year, the field trip was to Sky Zone trampoline park.  This place is so fun!  Due to it being the end of the year and I just went on the first grade field trip, I had to sit this one out.  Grandma, however "jumped" at the opportunity to go. (see what I did there..ha!)

OK...Day 8 Headed Home

Headed home today, but not before one last stop in Frisco!  So thankful that Andy doesn't mind us stopping to see Stacey and her family on our trips to and/or from Oklahoma.  He knows how special this lady and her friendship is to me!

The ride home was loooooonng!! With the extra stop in Frisco for two hours, and the nonstop rain and thunderstorms, we got home in 14 hours!!  But well worth every bit of it.

OK...Day 7 Duncan USA

Always love the slow pace that visiting the Young's brings during our trip.  Today Chrisie took the day off and she and the kids and I hung out around the house.  We later took the kids out to lunch at the Duncan Country Club and then headed back home to get ready for the company coming over tonight for dinner.
Andy spent the day with some of his favorite people playing golf!  What was suppose to be just a tee time at the local golf course with just Andy and Faron, turned into a surprise tee time that included Miller and Det at the Territory!  Faron's always got a trick up his sleeve!  And the crazy bad weather ended up making their golf trip even longer! ;)

These kiddos had a blast together!!

OK...Day 6 Bye Edmond, Hello Duncan!

Today is our last day in Edmond.  We are all sad to have to say goodbye, but the good news is, all of our Jacobsen family will be traveling down to New Orleans for a tournament that Gabe and JV will be playing in...so we won't have to wait to long to see everyone again!

Grammy gave Sarah a piano lesson on two while we were in town and Sarah loved it!! She did great! Even learned a little song.  Could this be a new adventure for us??
Before we left town, we headed to the movies this morning at Quail Springs Mall to see Smurf's: The Lost Village.  We of course had to have lunch in the "cars" in the food court.  And after the movie had to spend a few dollars on the thingys that go round and round.  Hey...it's vacation, right?  We had a blast during our time in Edmond!  Hoping we don't have to wait so long for our next visit!

Helllloooo Duncan!  We headed this time to southwest Oklahoma to see some of our favorite people, the Youngs.  We even got to see Evan play in his first t-ball game!  So much fun!  We ended the night with Uncle Faron's famous S'mores (seriously the first thing Sarah asks about when we talk about going to their house "can we do S'mores??")  Fun, fun, fun night!

OK...Day 5 Family Pictures

YAY!! Family pictures!  We headed to a canola oil field in north Edmond for our family pictures.  The Oklahoma wind was BRUTAL today!!!  But we smiled through it and the photographer captured some great shots of our precious family!
