Photo Drop

Halftime football selfie.

Children's misitry meeting at North Park on Wednesdays.  We enjoyed the one time we attended.  It just ended up being too much with my late school schedule.

Daddy's at the SLU game.  Leah is asleep.  Enjoying Sarah reading to me while I watch at little football with my feet up.

Sharing laughs with Uncle Mike and Uncle Jeff over some good ole Laffy Taffy jokes.

Happy Birthday Carter!!

Uncle Mike learning the joys of  playing games with Sarah.

Happy Birthday Rosalie!!

Birthday party fun at Rosalie's.

Goodnight moon!

Halloween

In the past, we have avoided our neighborhood for Halloween due to the craziness that ensues on the night of candy snatching.  However, with Grandma's neighborhood flooded out, we were left with no choice.  The Willows, our neighborhood was one of the very few that didn't flood.  The crowds were expected to be huge!!  We had a couple of friends contact us about parking at our house to trick or treat.  We ended up turning that idea into a trick or treating event.  It was a night of lots of fun and making fun memories.
Ready for the predicted big crowds.

Thank you Uncle Eddie for our dragon!!

Getting a bite to eat before we hit the street.

These kiddos make my heart smile!  What a 2016 they have all endured...from cancer to flood, these kids deserve a night of good fun memories!!

Leah and her Carter Man.

My little Sofia.

Let the fun begin!

"Twrick or Tweat Pwease"

Oh happy day!! It's Rosalie!!

Sweet baby girls!

We seriously could not separate these two.  We ended up having to throw them a few decoys to get them to stay with their perspective family group.

The big girls having fun at the "Grease" house.

Grandma and the dads took care of handing out the candy.

"Mal" and "Sofia" loving Halloween fun.

Grandma!

Time to sort through the loot.

First Baptist of Denham Springs Jr. High

Meeting in the hall way of DSJH, sitting on cafeteria tables for small groups.  Leah's class, the nursery, is in the teachers lounge and Sarah's class is in another hall.
The church has made its last move hopefully before we can get our new church built.  Brother Leo cracks us up with the new "names" of our church body.  It's always best to smile in these situations.  On another note, it still amazes me how this community, I call home continues to support the citizens that make it what it is.  DSJH allowing us to meet on their campus is just another example of all of us working to make the best of this situation!

FBCDS Trunk or Treat/ Fall Festival

A loving church from Alabama visited our church this weekend to help in hosting Trunk or Treat and a Fall Festival of sorts.  They were wonderful!! Lots of fun games and fellowship.  The girls had a blast.  The festival was at our new church property.
Fishing for candy.

Buckets full of candy and smiles all around.  It was a great time!

Get your hair did...

I took the girls this morning to get their hair cut.  Our hair dresser, Ms. Jaime, offered to curl Sarah's hair.  Sarah was all over that!! We walked over to the train station to grab a few pics...not often us Jacobsen girls have curls!

Sassy Sarah feeling those curls! ;)

Sarah's 1st Grade Field Trip

When school returned, we weren't sure if a field trip would be part of the fall semester.  Turns out, through the generosity of the Louisiana Children's Museum in New Orleans, allowed all of the first graders to attend the museum for a free field trip!  The kiddos were super excited.  I was thrilled that I was able to attend....even Grandma was able to join us.
