Jamie's Baby Shower

Today we held Jamie's baby shower for baby Bradley at Forrest Grove.

Jamie's baby boy is expected to arrive in September!! We are all very excited to meet and love on him!

Sarah really enjoys having her friends over to play with her at her house.  Sarah and Abby play so well together!  I have truly enjoyed watching them grow into little people!

Tracey and her family recently moved back to the great state of Louisiana after a few years stay in Houston.  She is now living in her husband's hometown of Eunice, which is a little more than an hour away! YAY!!

She and Carson stopped by today to visit while they were in town visiting Tracey's mom.  Hopefully this will become a common happening now that they are so close!

Red, White and Blue

Ok, I admit it....I can't control myself when it comes to buying a cute dress for, who I think, is the cutest dang little girl in the world!  Yes, I hear the jibber jabber from Andy "another dress!" "is she only going to wear it once??" "how much was that one?"  But let's be honest...every little girl needs cute little dresses right?? So to justify all of this cuteness (not that I should have to do so), I take some pictures of Sarah in her oh - so - cute seasonal, themed, maybe wear it one time dress...And Sarah is now in a stage that she is cooperating with me!



Ummm mommy, I think daddy has caught on to us and our dress addiction.



Sure sweetie, you can sit on the newly wet from the morning rain driveway...you're only wearing this thing once. ;)

July 4th!

So today we all had off from school/work and spent the day at home....can't get into too much with a holiday in the middle of the week.  Sarah was ready to swim bright and early this morning as we had promised her we could.

Sarah loves to offer Fritz water from her pool.  She really feels like she is helping her buddy out.

Sarah swam, jumped in her jumper and we played outside pretty much all morning.  After lunch and naps it was back outside to watch daddy grill up some hot dogs and burgers.

That evening, we watched the July 4th celebration from Washington, DC...we all really enjoyed it.  And Sarah was again entertained by the fireworks.  She also enjoyed the military bands as she would march around the house to their beat...I am sure her uncles would be proud!  We had a great relaxing fourth of July!

Almost July 4th Celebration

Since July 4th is on a Wednesday this year and we all have work/school on Thursday.  (yes, I am teaching summer school again!) We decided to do a little firework popping today.  We headed to mom's house (who is outside the city limits) to set off some explosives....Mom was still in Oklahoma.  Jeff came in from Hammond and we had a nice little fireworks show.

Yea! Uncle Jeff brought more snappers!!  Since we had more success with Sarah stepping on them than throwing them, he set her up with a little area to stomp around.

We Love Pockets!!

Sarah really enjoyed the fireworks.  This was her first experience with them and she was fairly impressed.  We had just enough...about an hours worth and then she was done.  Happy almost 4th!
