Bowling!

We are always looking for something fun that all of the kids can enjoy without breaking the bank!  After some brain storming, we decided on bowling.  The kids loved it and it was Sarah first time to bowl!

Lunch at the mall before bowling.

Nap time for Leah came at the perfect time.  Andy and I both got to bowl while she napped it out.

Sarah really enjoyed bowling!

Bowling shoes!!

Group pic!  It should be noted that Katie beat Andy! ;)
We ended the night celebrating the August birthdays!  Happy Birthday Papa and Annie!!! I love when our trips to Oklahoma fall around a birthday celebration!

Movie Day!

Today the big kids went to the movies to see Disney's Planes 2: Fire and Rescue.  Leah and I stayed home at Grammy's ...a movie theatre isn't really where a baby wants to hang out.

After everyone got home, it was just a day of playing.

It was a very restful day apparently, because I don't really have any documentation of the day, other than the one picuture I caputred of Annie and Sarah at Annie's gymnastics class.

Cousin best friends!  Sarah thought that maybe she wanted to participate with any tonight, but as it turned out, it was all a little overwhelming, so we just watched Annie instead.

Frontier City

Sarah had so much fun at Frontier City when we went last summer for Gabe's birthday, that we all decided it would be fun to go again this summer.  Grammy was kind enough to stay home with Leah while we all went to the park.
Andy and the kiddos on the "pirate ship" not sure it's real name, but it swings back and forth.  We ended up riding this about 4 times!  Sarah was so funny trying to explain how it felt when we were on the ride.  "You can feel it right here (pointing to her chest) when you start to go down mommy!

Sarah and Annie started the day with the kiddie rides.  We let Andy take the big kids and go to the other side of the park for the big kid rides. They were much quicker to join in on the fun this time.

On the little kid roller coaster.  Sarah's first roller coaster ride!!!

Gabe and Syd came back to join us and the cousins went together on the ride.  I love this picture!!!

Flying dragon.

Ferris wheel. This is where I found out that my 6ft 6in tall husband is deathly afraid of the Ferris wheel.  We all got a good laugh at him fussing us to be still and not rock the container we were sitting in.  Well  we laughed...Andy just held on to the center bar! HA!

Yea! I remembered to get a pic of me and Andy!

Cousin's on the Carrousel!

Sweet Sarah May!

JV got to spend the afternoon with all of us.  Katie went to pick him up while we waited on the magic show.  They made it back just before it started.
And here is where the littles grew up right before our eyes!  Sarah and Annie suddenly were over the little kid rides and were all about doing what the big kids were doing.  Surprisingly, most of these rides allowed kids their height on either by them self or with an adult.  Once they found out they could ride the big rides, they were all about it!  Completely impressed with these two little girls!
Annie and Sarah waiting in line for the log ride.

Andy and Sarah on the Wild Cat.  (Mommy sat this one out!)

At the top of the ride!!!

And here they are...done!

Remember the guy who was afraid of the Ferris wheel??? Here he is with JV and Gabe riding this thing that goes completely upside down and spins around!!! I don't get it!  But they loved it!
Frontier City was again a great time for all of us!! It was a hot day, but lots of fun.  And my little Sarah is turning out to have one heck of an adventurous summer!!

Duncan, OK

We got up early from our sleepover at Stacey's and headed north to Duncan, OK.  We all stayed up pretty late last night, so I was pleased when the girls fell asleep on the way to the Young's house.

Good naps = Fun afternoon!
The plans for the weekend were simple....relax and have fun!  Sarah was ready for some pool time.
Silly picture in the pool.  Leah LOVED the water!!

Daddy and Sarah enjoying some pool time.  We forgot a hat for Sarah, so she borrowed Cole's...her Jacobsen head was having some trouble making it fit. :)

The big kids were loving Bubba throwing them around the pool.  That's Lucas flying through the air.

So glad the MoFos made it to Duncan!  We all got to meet Lena and Max.  Max was on the go, so I didn't get a pic of that sweet boy, but Leah and Lean had a great time playing with each other!

Group pic!  Love getting to see our Oklahoma friends!  Big thanks to Faron and Chrisie for hosting everyone when we come in town.

Ahhh the roasting of the marshmellows....one of Sarah's favorite parts of staying at the Young's.

Chrisie manning the s'mores station.

Mommas and our babies.

Evan and Leah reading for bath time.

Ryan and Sarah take a turn in the tub next.
Another great weekend in Duncan.  Time to pack up and move on to Edmond!

Summer Trip to Oklahoma

We left yesterday after work to start our summer trip to Oklahoma. I know, the week before school starts...I must be crazy! But with both of our work schedules, this is the only time we could go before school started. So here we go!

Luckily we didn't have to travel the whole way to Oklahoma Friday. We decided to stop in Frisco and stay with Stacey and her crew instead of pushing our limits with a full drive to Oklahoma.

Gracie and Sarah ....two excited little girls about seeing each other for some extended play time!

These two were super pumped about a sleepover...until bedtime of course, then they wanted to sleep with their mommies. Ha!

Ahhhh....so nice to sit and have a late night chat with my Stacey!

Up and at 'em early this morning to head to the Young's for some pool time and relaxation...well as much as you can get on a vacation with kids!
Hoping this nap on the way to Duncan will lead to a great day of happy kids!

VBS 2014- Agency D3

This week was VBS at our church....First Baptist Church Denham Springs.  This was the first year for Sarah to participate in VBS and she was super excited.  I decided to go all in this year and be a teacher...of her 3 year old class! Yikes!  We all know I do big kids, so this was completely out of my comfort range.
VBS Motto: Discover, Decide, Defend!

All smiles!

Monday: Sunglasses night.

My kiddos!

First night I had our kids create a "briefcase" of all of our discoveries.  They were to decorate it how they wanted.  When Sarah finished she brought her folder to me and I was shocked to see her writing Leah's name too!  Sweet girl put all of our family on her folder.

Friday night was family night.  All of the kiddos sang their songs on stage.  I was so super proud of my Sarah!!! This is the preschool group.

Daddy and Uncle Jeff and Leah all showed up for family night.
We had a wonderful VBS!! I really enjoyed the kids.  This year was the church's largest attended VBS since some time in the 1980s. God is doing great things at FBC Denham Springs!!  We are looking forward to next summer's VBS!!
