Diaper Shower & LSU 37 v TCU 27

The Felder's were sweet enough to host us a small diaper shower today to welcome baby Leah!  LSU was playing their first game of the season away, so they also turned the get together into a football watch party as well.

Sarah ready to go in her new LSU gear...she's loving hats/visors right now.

Daddy and Sarah, all smiles before we leave.

No shower is complete without the sweets...yummy!!

The "little girls"...but don't tell them that!  I see their first real fight in the future...not over baby dolls, but probably over SEC football!

The three and a half of us...getting super excited!

Thank you Felder's so much for your love and kindness!!
It was a perfect get together...football, lots of wonderful food, family and friends.  Thanks to everyone that came and we appreciate the love you've already shown us and Leah.

On a side note...#99 Tevin Lawson, a former student of mine is playing for TCU.  We were able to see him get some playing time and I am a super proud teacher!

Football!

We are getting pumped up about the the begining of football season around the Jacobsen house!!  So as we usually do, we headed out to LSU to see about some new gameday gear and of course to see our favorite cat!
This was by far the best trip we have had at his habitat!  He started out sleeping when we got there and by the time we left, he was up and well rested.  Mike walked all around the habitat and even got in his pool.  At one point I really thought he was just doing his "autograph" session.  He would go from one window to the next letting people take his picture...it was SO cool!! I was crazy excited...Andy was starting to become little worried about me and my excitement- you think he'd be used to these reactions by now!

Sarah getting a pic with Mike...probably could use some sunglasses too!

YES! that is Mike right there!! SO AWESOME!!!  Sarah wasn't as impressed!

Swing Set!!!

Today was a big day at our house!  After going to Oliver's birthday party, we headed home to Andy and Jeff putting together Sarah's new swing set that Grandma purchased for her.  We spent the whole summer trying to figure out what kind of swing set we thought would be best for our backyard: we researched, we asked friends, you name it, we were in search of a swing set for Sarah!  Today the wait was over!

Sarah trying to give a hand.

Now trying to help Jeff.

Power tools!!! Let me try!!

Getting close to being a full fledged swing set!!

Grandma and Sarah happily waiting on the progress.

Helping measure.

Can't say enough about how awesome these two were in putting together the swing set!!  THANK YOU!!!

Practicing climbing while we wait....we had a pretty long wait. ;)
After 8 long hot hours of work on a Saturday in August.......We have a swing set!!! WOOHOO!!!  i am not sure that I have ever seen such pure joy in my child while playing with a "toy".  She was over the moon happy!!

The whole crew!  Thank you Andy and Jeff for all of your hard work and thank you Grandma for the big purchase!

HAPPY! HAPPY! HAPPY!

Oliver Turns 3!

"Fireman" Oliver had his 3rd birthday party this morning.  Due to the proximity of their house to the fire station, his mom set up a tour of the fire station for the party goers.  Cute! Cute! Cute!  We were very excited to see the firetrucks and of course the firemen!

Sarah taking her turn sitting in the fire truck.

Sarah's turn to try out the hose.

Happy Birthday Oliver!!!

Weekend Recap...

Well, I am started to get a little freaked out that I don't have the baby's room ready yet.  Andy is definitely the ying to my yang- he of course has no worries about the room and really feels that it's not a big deal since she probably will be in a pack n play in our room for the first three months...ugh! boys!  So this weekend, I convinced/conned/threatened Andy into us at least painting the room- it's a start right?!?!  After a great night sleep and a slow morning to wake up, we decided we'd go get some breakfast at James' and then head to get the paint and supplies.  I was starting to feel better.
These two!  They do a great job of getting this mommy to smile and just chill out!!  This was my entertainment while we waited on our breakfast.

We did get some painting done and that was it....to be honest, that's about all the activity I could take.  Starting to get tired a lot lately...ya know third trimester fun!
So excited to paint!

Our little fairy helper!

Sunday of course was church and rest day.  Sarah was my helper this morning for nursery check-in.  Today also happened to be "wear your colors" day at church....which of course we went with the purple and gold of our beloved tigers!
