Like Parent

So there is this new app that is suppose to answer they question everyone has about your kids..."who do they look like"  I had some fun with it today...

I mean really....Ok, I get it.

NO! Not this one too!!!

Haha! There.  That's better.

And many people comment on how much Leah looks like my mom.  Ummm...ok then, that's settled.
It was fun to play around with the app.  And I really enjoyed manipulating the pictures until it worked in my favor. haha!  But truth is,  our girls are who they are and we wouldn't change a thing!

BR Zoo

Decided to get some use out of our zoo membership today.  Little Leah hasn't experienced the zoo near as much as her older sister...so off we went!

Leah's first ride on the train.

Mommy and Leah!  Waiting on the ride to start.

The Kids Zoo was a big hit with Leah.  She talked to this donkey for a good five minutes.

Sarah enjoyed the petting zoo.

No BRZoo trip complete without this picture!

Sweet sisters!
We had a nice morning outing.  We spent a few hours at the zoo, then headed home for lunch and naps.  I love a trip to the zoo!

Nine, Nine bust a Rhyme

Our anniversary gift from Sarah. :)
Today Andy and I shared our 9 year wedding anniversary.  And although we both had to be reminded of the date from someone else...there is no doubt that I love this life we have built together and look forward to sharing 99 more together!

LSU Softball Super Regionals

Have I mentioned we are hooked on LSU softball?  So after last weekend's win, we were fired up to go to the super regional.  We originally had tickets on the Berm for the super regional weekend, because that was all that was left after I was on hold for thirty minutes with the ticket office when they open the day the tickets went on sale!  But Ms. Shelly (who knows everyone!!) helped us find some seats in the shade...on and on the first row behind home plate!! WHAT the WHAT?!?  Two thoughts...1. SUPER COOL!! 2. OH NO! We will be on TV!!  And man were we!  The whole game.  It was fun receiving texts from friends and family while they watched us on TV...but it sure does make you real self conscious during game time!
Pre-game snowball while we wait for the rain to pass.

Ready for some Super Regional Softball!!

What a view!!!  And a full house at Tiger Park.

Tigers win!!!

LSU Softball...headed to the WCWS!!

Slappin' hands with Bianka Bell!!
We had an amazing time at the game!!! So exciting!! We love our Tigers that's for sure.  So Andy sent me a number of texts through out the game commenting on what Sarah was doing during the game.  She was....a typical 5 year old...didn't sit still too long!  When we got home, I watched the game Andy recorded for us to see just how we looked on our TV debut! ;)

Just chillin' with her new cool shades.  (we are above the "TE""

"Momma, can I lay down?" Ummm sure.

Andy's favoirte...the pom-pom attack.

Game? What game?

Little lap sitting.

Waving HI to daddy!!
What great memories made!!

*Update: LSU softball ended their season in OKC at the WCWS with a third place finish.  They were a super fun team to watch this year. GEAUX Tigers!!

Backyard Fun!

Ahhh...the end of the school year is in sight!!!  Last night was graduation and today, we have planned a little crawfish boil to celebrate.  We are all ready for some summer!!
Bring out the plastic pool...it's summer!!

Uncle Jeff....the guy who sends a text asking if there will be water activities again and then adds he will be bringing some stuff too.  Fun times!

Never turn your back!

Get your water balloon ready!  Emma cracks me up in this picture!!

Leah wants in on the action!

Let the games begin!!  All of these little people had adults with them and we had adults without little people.  But I'm sure you'll agree that the little people are much cuter and more fun to take pictures of. :)

I think we have set the mood for some fun this summer....the Carroll cupcakes were such a treat and so festive!

End of Swimming Lessons

Sarah has really conquered some of her swimming fears in her first ever swimming lessons.  The first couple of lessons were tough...on all of us.  It often sounded like child abuse as I listened from behind the house as she would be let go in the water and be forced to bring herself to the top and "swim".  But she, we, had no choice....she needed to realize that she could do this!  I think it was the third lesson of swim when I videoed the sounds coming from the pool and sent it to Andy.  He joked that it sounded like someone was being murdered and I joked that child services would probably be called on us.  But by the end of it all, Sarah can now get herself to the edge of the pool if she fell in and she has the confidence now to get in the water without being completely sacred!
This kid!  There were a number of times that Ms. Elke would be running late (she drove to us from BR) and so Roxanne would get in the pool with the kids for a pre-swim of sorts.  Sarah enjoyed the float time.

Swam to the edge!

Leah cooling her feet while we all watch the last lesson.

Sarah being dropped in and then having to make her way back to the side.

Here she comes.

WhooHoo!! She made it!

Sarah, Ms. Elke, Presley and Colton.  Good job kiddos!!! So proud of all of you!

LSU Softball Regional vs Arizona St.

We have really enjoyed the LSU softball team this year and attending the games has been such a fun time.  I think we may be hooked on LSU softball.  It had been a long busy week for us.

This morning, we went to "early" church so that Sarah could make up a swim a lesson.  After all of our morning activities, Leah was napping and Sarah and I were watching the LSU softball regional on TV.  If they won this game, then they would play shortly after in an elimination game.

As we watched the game and LSU took the lead, I mentioned - out loud- Hey, we could get ready and make it to that second game! Andy giggled and said, "You and Sarah can go. I'll stay here with Leah." (He's so good at tolerating my rabid LSU fanatic tendencies!!)

I looked at Sarah and said "Want to go to the game?" She jumped up and said "YES!" And that was that.  I contacted my friend Shelly who was already there.  She was able to purchase some tickets on the Berm from the ticket office. On our way there, we figured out that I could use Shelly's other ticket and Sarah could sit in my lap.  Sarah was so excited about sitting on the Berm...I told her we could compromise and sit a little in both.
And just as I expecetd...the Berm in May is HOT!!  Sarah lasted all of about 5 minutes before she was okay with heading to sit with Ms. Shelly in the shade! Haha!  I forced her to take this picture because she had already had enough...but I wanted her to have proof that we have sat on the Berm!!

Ahhh...in the shade! Such a beautiful view!!

TIGERS WIN!! In a nail biter!!4-3 in nine innings!!

Whoop! Whoop!  Happy Tiger fans!!
