DSJH Basketball PepRally

It's basketball pep rally day!! This was the first year I could attend and I am so glad I did. Sarah was picked to play in one of the games and it was so fun to see all of the kids having a great time. It's nice to be the parent at these kinds of things and live like non teachers do lol

Halloween

 We love this little tradition of having friends over for Halloween trick or treating in our neighborhood. 

FBCDS Fall Fest

Fall Fest at First Denham is always a great time. We love decorating a trunk with our Sunday school class each year. This year we used Ms. Laura's Barbie theme from the SADD trunk or treat and it made things super easy on us as far as decorating goes. Jeff, Stacy and Amelia drove up and joined us which made the evening even more fun. And Leah made a perfect Dorothy! Sarah was at a friend's birthday party and wasn't able to join us this year. 

 

Mighty Moms

Mighty Moms is an organization that started in 2010 by a group of moms who wanted to make things better for the kids in our community. The Full Tummy Project gives food to kids in school system who are in need. We have recently started to volunteer on Saturdays with the unloading of groceries. It is just a small part to all of the amazing things this organization does. They have other groups come during the week and put the bags together for the kids and another group that delivers to the schools to get the food to the kids. It really is a wonderful organization. And as Andy says....it doesn't even feel like "work" we we are all there getting the food unloaded and on the shelves. 

 

LSU Volleyball

We got Leah LSU volleyball tickets for her birthday! It was a first for all of us and we had a great time. These girls are so amazing at what they do. It was impressive to watch. GO TIGERS! 

 

Heidi's 4th Birthday!

I am not sure how we have been so lucky to get the best dog ever, but we did! Heidi is truly a bright spot in most any day. She has stolen our hearts. Hard to believe she has been with us for four years already. Happy birthday Heidi! 

 

Red Ribbon Week for Leah

We love "Wed Wibbon Week" ;)

 

In with Red Ribbon week was also Honor Roll picnic! Leah was happy to have Daddy join her and I was happy that daddy took pictures! :) 

And let's throw in STEAM night too! lol
